About · The through line

Built for the long view.

I am an entrepreneurial solutions architect who has spent a career connecting technology decisions to the people, markets, and operating systems they are meant to serve.

My work has moved between early-stage company building, enterprise architecture, product commercialization, and customer-facing solution engineering. The setting changes, but the assignment is remarkably consistent: understand the real constraint, align people around it, and build a system that can keep performing after the launch moment has passed.

At Salesforce, I help healthcare and life sciences organizations imagine and design connected customer experiences across payer, provider, medical device, and life sciences. Earlier, I advised growing businesses on technology and operations, helped lead healthcare software initiatives at NantWorks, and served as CEO of Peaksware while TrainingPeaks grew from a bootstrapped product into a global endurance platform.

I began my career inside large-scale information systems at Deloitte, MediaOne, and Active.com. Those years taught me that architecture is never only technical: it is a compact between a business model, a team, and the people who must ultimately rely on the result.

Working principles

01 · Start with the operating truth

Good architecture begins with an honest account of how work happens today—not how the diagram says it happens.

02 · Translate before you optimize

The highest-leverage work often sits between disciplines. Shared language is infrastructure.

03 · Build for the next decision

A durable system makes tomorrow’s choices clearer. It creates learning capacity, not just feature capacity.

Endurance

Endurance sport shaped my approach long before technology became my profession. A U.S. Junior National Triathlon Championship and the long work of Ironman training taught me to respect feedback loops, consistency, recovery, and the quiet compounding of good decisions.
